Lynne Kirwin set up her own highly successful company in 1985, rapidly establishing
it as one of the UK’s leading PR agencies in the field of arts and entertainment.
Previously she had been senior publicist at the Royal National Theatre.
Kirwin Media launched the Donmar Warehouse, the Almeida and Kevin Spacey’s regime at the Old Vic. Other clients included Hampstead Theatre, the Bush, and West End producers Cameron Mackintosh, Disney Theatrical Productions, Michael Codron, Robert Fox, and Bill Kenwright.
For ten years, during Michael Grade’s tenure at Channel 4, Kirwin Media publicised all the channel’s high profile drama output, including major series by Dennis Potter, Alan Bleasdale, and Paula Milne.
Personal clients have included Barry Humphries, Peter Hall, Alan Bleasdale, Michael Ball, and Elaine Paige.
Having acquired formidable contacts and a detailed working knowledge of the media, Lynne Kirwin now works as a communications strategist and mentor advising both individual clients and companies within the entertainment industry. Since launching the phenomenally successful musical The Lion King in London she has been retained by Disney Theatrical Productions as a media consultant.
She is a director of Soho Theatre and Propeller Theatre Company.
